Finished up the starboard shrouds and rat lines then added the halliyards and their purchases.

Today I hung and rigged the fore main yard. Lots done with lifts and bunt lines. And a couple fore stays.

I began to add the jib sail halliards and downhauls and their associated pennants and reef tackle.

I opted to add a few in port crewmen to solidify the scale of the model and to bring a bit of life. Not too many...since in port many of the crew either were on leave, living in a boarding house or left the ship all together.

This is the image I used as a model to date my Glory and to mimic her at the height of her career.

First the original B/W image of her in SanFran in 1877.
And my replication. It’s nearly uncanny.
You’d think I colorized the image.

Hi Rob,

Your photo looks great. It is hard to tell if real or a model. You could also take a picture of your Glory in B/W and create the same image in B/W. I think that would look fantastic.
