I agree this is an excellent solution--easy to apply, don't have to mix anything, no fumes and a strong, fast bond.
Soak the brass in a pickling solution same as you should do before silver or soft soldering and/or blackening. If there is heavy oxidation or other contaminants, I like to steel wool the piece before pickling as well. Sparex No. 2 is a good pickling compound to use and is cheap.it might help to clean the surface of the brass with fine sand paper or steel wool before gluing.
