Golden Hind scratch build 1:48 (based mostly on Aeropiccola plans)

Hello shipmates~

A short update on the sheets progress. I tried somewhat darker dye on the fore main sails with pine tar (1), diluted with thinner spirit (30). This was the first try (1:30) and I am quite satisfied with the results. Not so dark, not so bright. I decided to stop any further trial for darker color as this feels the right color to me. Below are the pictures 1) comparing before and after, 2) both GH1 & GH2 with the new pine tar dyed sails. Very subtle difference in the photo, but just feels right.

Now I am starting work on the parrals. Using a 3mm x 2mm plank, initial test parrals were made as below.

Since the beads are about 2,7-2.8mm in diameter, I am adjusting the parral size to 2.5x2x8mm. Took couple of days to make enough for both main & fore main sheets of GH1 & GH2 as below.
