Hello everyone, I am the designer of Modelship Dockyard. Last year, we released the 1:96 Enterprise product. Sold nearly 300 sets within a year.
In China, many clients are producing this work. Among numerous works, there is one that is particularly surprising. After attempting to contact the author and obtaining his consent, I forwarded the entire production process to SOS.
I will continue to update for about 10 days and try my best to restore the author's original intention of posting on the Chinese forum.Hope to provide some reference materials

It is a stunning presentation considered on a relatively small scale. I am in love with the tone of this wood, is it one of the species of Boxwood available and grows in China?

Hi Wuxiaomeng
This looks like a stunning kit at any scale and especially at 1:96. See the "?" below.

How thick are the tops of the top timbers and knee of the head forward?

Thank you very much
Allan
top timbers:2mm
knee of the head forward:2mm
Actually, it should be 1mm and 1.5mm, but on the 1:96 model, this is difficult to achieve and we have to compromise

Beautiful delicate kit. Mine is on order but has been stuck at Charle de gulle since Christmas. Taking ages.
I think a different courier is needed.

Thanks for the quick response. I understand your point, but do the instructions give the builder the correct dimensions so they can decide if they want to sand them to the correct size or leave them with them oversized. In looking at Shipbuilder's Repository 1788 it shows that both the top timbers and the fore end of the knee of the head would have been 1mm at a scale of 1:96.
Thanks again Wuxiaomeng. It looks like high quality materials in your kit.

wonderful model, especially the framing that is according to full size practice, unlike the basic Admiralty style models where the framing is "indicative" only.
Hello Chris, yes, it is a wonderful kit. The detailing is the reason why I chose it. It is very delicate, although there is criticism here and there that the thickness at the top ends of the frames is not correct. The thickness should then be 1mm and at 2mm they are already very fragile. For me, that's fine.
Greetings Mario
