Phew! The other side went well. Pleased with it. Glad I got the real wood stern decoration rather than the resin. Beautifully machined for such a tiny scale.
Frames and Photo Etched windows still to fit. Getting very tweezerish now.
The detail is amazing, incredible technology.

wow very impressive. I hope mine turns out as nice. I didn't get the cnc transom. I wonder if I can buy it separately? i think I'll ask Zoltan.

BEcause of the 1:96 scale, the parts are fragile. I hope it doesn't turn into an Achey Breakey fest in my case.

Hello @neilm, Following your build with great interest. I still have mine in a box in the office. I bought at release but, because of other builds, got delayed significantly. I'm still finishing rigging the Revenge, which is taking a while. Afterall, it is the pleasure of the journey not the speed of execution.
My question is quite simple, which version did you get boxwood or pearwood? sometimes, it is hard to see with pictures.

Hi Loracs. I got the boxwood version. I must admit, I’m not really sure what the difference is, although I think pear wood is more pinky colour.
Love to see a real life comparison side by side and each plate.
Also got the extra planks add on but not using them.

Life just got in the way on this build and I gave it to a man who bought my Victory and San Bartolome.
That transaction has made us close friends now.
He finished this build beautifully as he did the Victory…( very skilled modeller but don’t tell him)
Credit once again to my good friend the billums, (Neil) here on SOS.
He has sent me these pics of the finished ship. Looks amazing with the paint finish.

I have the pearwood version. never worked with pearwood before. Excited to see how it behaves.
Pearwood you will enjoy. This is a first with me on "Boxwood" Castello I think..
Say @neilm , cleaning char, did you do this with a small file and/or sandpaper? Seems this char is a never ending problem.

thank you. It's very complex model but i am enjoying it. I am deviating from the plans a little bit because I want to show the 1812 rigging and not the 1927 rigging. That should be an interesting activity.
