why not email Max at ZHL and ask him to match the price ?

Hi guys ! Came back for some vacation and some work on the Enterprize, i have not been able to advance due to hollidays and beer, wine , family and other beverages , oh Holydays ! 
I have worked a bit at the stern , these ships really had lovely curves.

And just in case any one wondered the size comparison between a 1:96 and a 1:48, i will leave this Paper Enterprize i am using just for guidance, i will give some attention in the future if she survives...

Glad to see that you are back in the shipyard. Brilliant job si far and I'm amaz6at see the two ships next to each other.
The small one is half the scale, but it looks so tiny.
I have to remember the POF is twice as big as the card version in lenght, height and breadth, so it's really 8 times tut h.g e volume.

That doesn't seems right to me yo have that part.
I just checked Brian's log and it appears that he has a proper timber piece.
I would check with your supplier of the kit about this piece. Did you get this kit from ZHL? If you did contact Max straight away.

Hi Greg, i have indeed checked Brian´s log and it doesn´t look the same colour at least, i will ask Brian, my kit was bought from ebay. This is a weird part "material" for a kit like this, im not saying it is not good , but it just does not make a match...

I did indeed have plastic parts like your photo, but I laminated over them with thin veneer timber. Your kit is the same as mine from what I can tell.

Thank you very much for your reply Bryan ! I could notice the "brighter" colour on your model , and it just shows your solution worked perfectly. I will try something similar. I must also say i am relieved to know my kit came to me as it should be. I still think they could have worked this part a bit better...

Hi Brito, why not use it as a template and carve one from cherry wood.
I do like the idea, but i think my craftsmanship is not at that level, i might use Brian´s idea or paint it.
Never under estimate yourselve. Nice trial case.
