Very nice link mate. I have been trough this forum before but i never found the actual build log of this model. I guess i always get lost in translation. ROTF
 
Hi guys, i finally made it back to the "shipyard", i have now around 2 weeks to work on the model before going back to work.
I have started gluing the parts on the stern, it doens´t look like much work has been done but the true fact to me is that all of these parts are very much time consuming, when i came from plastic to this wood POF model i received a crash reality course on the complexity of this kind of model building.
Here is the current status,

I can fully understand your words about the work behind the stern construction - I realized it also with my La Salamandre
But we can state: Your work looks very good Thumbs-Up
 
Boy, that's really some model ship. I like the staging to set the frames in. I'm looking forward to building a model of the Great Republic and I'll need to make staging like that so your pictures will help me a lot. It will be a scratch model as there are no kits for this ship that I can find. I think my plans came out with about a six foot long hull so there will be lots of room for details. Ought to be fun like the Enterprise.

Indeed Brian, the laser char is a pain in the @ss to remove, but also trying to set a correct angle so that the parts fit tight, the instructions are not a major help. I would say by now i have used 70% the instructions and 30% or more your build pictures for reference and other scarce info around the web and some books.
Still a long way to go, i´ll take my time, no rush.
 
First time I've ever seen a kit like this one, it looks awesome. Speaking as a novice I wouldn't have the B***S to have a go at this, I take my hat off to you Brito. I hope all goes well with this build, I will be following this with much interest. I'm sure a lot of the more experienced members will help you along the way, they seem a great bunch on here. Great start anyway and happy days ahead.

Hi guys, so work continued after a long break, i have finally finished all the frames and moved on to the bow, next i can continue assembling and glue the parts on the model after correcting some angles.
