H.M.S. Enterprize 1774 1:48 - Modelship Dockyard by Corsair Build Log

I'm still here. :) Ok, I finished the inner planking (except pieces I need to add after I install the final transom pieces)
I have a few crutches, the breast hook and 2 of the three mast steps. Then I start on some deck framing. :)

A very nice outcome of the inner planking, Jeff.
For sure when she is finish she can sail over ‘The Endless River’ to the see.
Regards, Peter

Very beautiful and very neat! It can be seen that careful thought was put into the production process Thumbsup Thumbsup Thumbsup
Thank you my friend. With the quality of your work I keep seeing, you words mean more to me that you can ever know. :)
Now I'm trying to figure out how to sand all the odd shapes into the mast steps for the fore and mizzen masts. Redface

I got the same problem, but a way bigger, with floor and futtock riders of the Hoy (Antscherl wasn't even sure the were foreseen in theactual ship). I spent maybe an entire day on any single piece (6 overall) and, in one or two cases, I even had to repeat the job two times. For the mast steps alone I suggest a "3-D template" of some soft wood stripes (finally glued together), each carved accordingly to the hull and centre-line shape in any given point. Once you get the 3D template, you can copy that more or less precisely, taking measures here and there. The other way is... long and patience file work, tenth after tenth of millimetre, until the mounting fits perfectly. Anyway, enjoy the project! Kind Regards
