Halcon 1:100 first attempt for wooden ship modeling

Thank You very much for all kind words, that keep me more glad of my work and keep my morale high . I am not so advanced modeler but hope will do better job in future
Finally I finished my Halcon 1840 , it was really lot of fun.
Now there is another problem - the exposition of exhibition .
Unfortunately, present days is impossible to put the model on TV box, as all TVs are flat , so probably I hide the model in paper box on attic to prevent it from dust, or maybe You have any other ideas ? .
Well, as for today, at least, I made some nice pictures, as for the public presentation, so now will share them with You.

Already arrived next 9$ kits from Ali - 1:70 NewPort, 1:120 America 1851, 1;130 Harvey, another one 1:100 Halcon 1840, and 1:150 Victory (this one 25$ ) , but for Victory I am too short now.
Maybe America 1851 , it is nice boat and nice year, because at this year Colt made his Navy revolver (I had and used this gun for CAS shooting also )

At next was a point to made a masts and bowsprit, but there was no any dimensions in China "instruction". I saw a pictures of models where masts was much too big for the rest of body, making such no proportional model a pain when look at it
Proper proportions are very important, for ship and women

So I used a Fusion 360 software (it is free for personal use) and famous Halcon plans I found in net, to made a proper proportion for my model at 1:100 scale. Using CAD software I was able to scale/calibrate the plans and made/estimate proper dimensions for masts, bowsprit and sails. Here is an example of dimension. All are metric system mm

Maybe my dimensions calculation will be useful for anyone in future, so here I add dimension pack as .zip file for download, including .pdf files with proper sails dimensions for Halcon 1840 1:100 scale.

I own a .36 caliber 1851 Navy revolver. It is a replica meade by Pieta in Italy but it shoots fine and is a lot of fun. My favorite is the 2nd Model Dragoon, though.

It is great gun , however my favorite of era is Remington 1858 cal.44 , I like to shoot that one the most (made by Pieta), I own also Remington revolver carbine .44 made by Uberti. Anyhow for CAS competitions, I mostly use lever carbine Winchester 1892 by Rossi .357/.38sp and SAA 1873 revolvers also .357/38sp .
I saw many times a surprised people, that in Poland we made such Western "sports", including Zoot Shoot .
We made a DIY mechanical horse for some stages

You are very clever, I also trying to build a model brought a cheap halcon like you to practice on. After all same principles ( same horse different jockey) this is my trail run prior to buying a professional model so thanks

Meanwhile, I found a 10W laser cutter mentioned here as promotion on Ali, so I made first try with design, engraving and cutting, that is quite easy task .
Looks like laser offers endless possibilities to made a new parts, as replacement or as improvement, maybe in future made all kit of .... whatever I want .
For now, I did a small name tag for my Halcon, just to made anything useful. It is a bit too much power, set for engraving and cut, still learning how to use.

No añadiré velas, porque no soy capaz de hacerlas con la calidad adecuada.
Vi modelos realmente bonitos con velas mal hechas, y finalmente hice que todos los modelos se vieran como... ya sabes.
Solo añadiré el soporte Yard y con eso terminaré.
De todos modos, sé que estoy muy por detrás de los modelistas que hacen barcos realmente hermosos y grandes, sin embargo, para ser mi primer intento, estoy contento con el resultado.
Digamos que es un buen calentamiento.
De hecho, me gustó mucho este trabajo, aprendí muchas cosas y cómo usar herramientas que nunca antes había usado.
y finalmente pedí otros kits chinos en escala 1:130, 1:120, 1:70, etc.
Así que probablemente haré otros modelos si tengo algo de tiempo libre.

Excelente trabajo. Me di de alta en este foro cuando ya tenia casi terminado el barco. Lástima!. He montado otros barcos mas completos pero compré esta versión china y barata por curiosidad. Creo que tu trabajo ha quedado fantástico.
