My wife says I have a collection of collections.Honestly, I think all hobbyists are collectors at heart. Two hobbies for the price of, well... five or six!
As long as you don't collect the collectors...My wife says I have a collection of collections.![]()
I too have been a HO scale model railroader for 30 years, after12 years I finished my 3rd layout in 2024, highly detailed with lots of scratch building and kit bashing, notwithstanding installation of 22 electronic track switches, LED's , and signals. Subsequently I decided to try wooden boat modeling, you will find working in a larger scale with wood somewhat more forgiving than styrene & white metal RR kits, this SOS web site forum is great for beginners, the members are quite helpful and courteous to one another, unlike some of the MR web sites I used to go on.Yes, five model ship and boat kits in dry dock and I found myself looking at a sixth yesterday. My only excuse is that I'm just in the middle of a HO scale model railway as I spend half of my time on trains and the other half on model boats. Looking forward to going through the build logs and hope to post my own in due time.
