Hello all from a compulsive kit buyer!

I can see from all the above comments that I have obviously come to the right place. I'm looking forward to building again and as I said earlier I think that will be the small Perkasa to get my skills up to speed again. I'm also hoping to join a local R/C boat club, my nearest is Killingworth Newcastle which about a 30 minute drive south. Thanks for all the welcome comments!

I don’t really understand you guys, ok I have only been modelling since Dec last year, but what is the point of accumulating loads of models to build when it will take absolute years to build them all if ever. Looking at Corsairs room, it looks like you have more models than a model shop. Surely you will never build all those ?
Plus why start building lots of models all at the same time so that you go from one model to another without ever completing any.
Hopefully you will all explain and not bite my head off for speaking up

Why only have one kit when you can have half a dozen for 6 times the price.

Dreaming about building all this ships is more than half of the fun about this beautiful hobby. And complaining about these stupid kit makers is the other half. So, why not?

In my case, I had a good friend who owned a hobby shop. He passed away and his son told me to take a bunch of stuff home with me. However, as time goes on, we get interested in different things. When you stock them up, you will likely have something in the stash that peaks your interest to build. :) Yes, you are probably correct that I will pass before I finish them all. If it brings me joy to have them, then it is a small price. :)

Welcome aboard. I got a bug several years ago to restart what I had put on hold 40 years ago. I suppose I’m trying to make up for the time I lost. I’ve completed 2 ships in the last four years, two are under construction and 6 more reminding constantly that they’re waiting in the closet, in the dark. I’ll probably run out of time on this earth before I’ll be able complete them all. And someone told me I can’t take ‘em with me when I go. That’s a shame. But perhaps there are models to build in the next life!?

Some of the reason for stocking up include todays modern "limited production" sales where you get it now or never, not like the mass produced plastic kits that get released every few years when stock runs out.

Please, someone be quicker than me:
Many, many thanks!
Call me nuts, if you like, but I got her:p. After all, this old Steingraeber kits are becoming quite rare, and are still fun to build and keep the gray matter going;).

61 at last stock take….will ONLY need to live to 147 to complete them all…so no problem can I see !!!!
Plus 20 metal earth kits also…for my down time..
