Hello from Glasgow.

Good choice. Am just completing my Endeavour after almost 3 years of build but I just fitted it in when I had time and was in no rush. Have thoroughly enjoyed the experience although rigging was a bit challenging due to incomplete instructions but plenty on advice ava from SOS forum. Good luck and enjoy. From a fellow Scot.
Hi Keith. Endeavour has just arrived and it's looking a little daunting, but nothing ventured nothing gained. Thanks for your support.

Any questions just fire my way, and I'll see if I can help answer in any way. There are a few build logs in SoS that may also help ... if you go to search, and enter a Keyword of Endeavour and select "SOS Build Logs from Kit - Wood" from the Search in forums field. Often you will get an idea of how to address certain issues particularly where the instructions are vague or idea to pimp your model to add extra realism and even modify the design if you aim for historical accuracy. Enjoy your build. Not sure if you plan a build log but will follow with interest if you do.

Keith, I’m Scottish by marriage to a member of Clan Robertson. During our first trip to Scotland we figured out at Edinburgh Castle that my wife was preggers. The decision was made before we left Scotland that we’d name our child in honor of my wife’s heritage and where we figured it all out. The result: Scott! Now 34, married, with his own beautiful child. As they say in your neck of the distillery and the brewery… Slanga!

Thank you all for allowing me to join this group. I've recently taken up model boat building following retirement and thoroughly enjoying the hobby. My starter kit was the Mantua Mincio and have now just finished the Amati Fifie which was a great build and I'm very happy with the results. The one thing I've discovered is, however, I'm no sewer when it comes to sailmaking and my rigging skills are pretty woeful. With this in mind I feel my next project should be a ship of the non sail variety. I love the plank on frame design and don't want to go down the plastic hull route. My top three choices are currently the Occre Ulysses tug, Billings Nordkap or Smit Rotterdam. As a newbie I like clear instructions like Amati provided. Am I being too adventurous with my choices? I'd love to hear from you. Eric.
Hallo @Chilli dog
we wish you all the BEST and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY
