My name is Yves Vidal and after spending 35 years in Raleigh, NC, I moved to a small town called Youngsville, NC. Because of the move, my workshop is not yet ready and it will take months before it happens and allows me to resume my modeling activities.
I was very active on Model Ship World and spent more than 12 years on that forum. I went through two web site crashes and have decided to no longer post anything there. I hope that Ship of Scale is more serious when it comes to saving and back-upping data. It would be difficult to do worse than MSW, in that regard.
All my models were described in great and infinite details on MSW but everything has been lost forever. I will simply post recent pictures of my work on SOS, since I did not keep any records of the building phases.
It feels very lonely around here, and if you are a ship modeler and a train enthusiast (I model in O scale 2 rails), please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.
My modeling is mostly centered around the 48th scale (due to my passion for O-Scale trains). Occasionally, I will model in 1/32nd or 1/24th or 1/200th. That is pretty much it.
I am using the forum name "Luchon" as it is the place where I grew up, in the middle of the Pyrenees, at the border between France and Spain.
