I am not a great lover of MDF, after my experience with another kit using it which I threw away I think I shall stay with real wood.

Yes , you are right MDF is not so good , stern frame is easily broken and it is hard to possible to glue it.

Hi everybody, an update on my project . Last few days was not so productive as temperature in my hometown is extremely high for this time of year , so I spend most of the time swimming in sea , less working

Had a lot problems with PVA glue drying very fast and warring if the MDF will bend and remaining bended. Fortunately once the lower deck is installed all is harden and in place

First let me apology for not posting for a while but medical issue stop makes my live a bit hectic. Never the less please see how the progress was take a place with this beautiful model
Installing a lower deck to make a keel more straight

Again with a lot of help from LEGO cubes
Next are longitudinal supports which will make model sceletom more regade and stronger

Special attention must be taking for aft quarterdeck holder as they are very fragile, I broke them couple of time

Also stern longitudinal supports as well with help of lego as usual

Special attention have to be made with those Stern longitudinal support as they are quite breakable,

Lego block a very useful tool I know I use them often

After completing all longitudinal stiffeners (without braking ...so far ) I decide to painting lower deck with black paint. I could do deck planking which will looks nice but decide to just paint as opening is too small to be seen...

And up on compleation first coat .... I think I will go with two coat ....
