Good morning. Some more work on the deck and gratings. I included the two centre gratings and decided to leave these open. Some more deck planks were added.

Bit by bit she is starting to come together and I am starting to enjoy the look and feel. OH boy I can see many hours of treenails and details ahead of me……fun….ROTF
Cheers Grant
Your joinery is excellent Grant. The detail is making the deck come alive!

Loving the planking scheme! You're leaving enough open to show the wonderful work you did on the beams and carlings but at the same time giving the observer all detail of how the decking was installed!

This is the exact purpose of an Admiralty/Navy Board model but the "how to execute" it, is where 'art and skill' come together to create your own unique masterpiece!

Yours is looking awesome. Thanks for sharing!

Nice. It's looking better and better.
Nails are probably a pain for everyone. You can always exercise your fingertips, sanding them regularly, sandpaper grit 80... and... iykwim ROTF They'll be harder and more resistant...
Good morning. Thank you. Yes as I go it is starting to come together....may the trend continue.
I will steal the admirals from her sewing kit......hmmm
Wonderful! :D Thumbsup
Thank you kindly

Cheers Grant

Thank you Jeff.

Hello Peter. I have tried to get something different or a Grants look and feel. I tend to go around in circles sometimes and I am becoming an expert at redo's. ROTF . I'm still struggling with the stern counters and cabin interior.....this is a complete scratch attempt and it starts then comes apart...3 times so far ROTF.
Cheers Grant

Thank you kindly Daniel. I'm excited with how the deck is looking. I remember Pauls (@dockattner) recent post about gaps in joins and I think he would send mine to file thirteen in an instant...... ROTF . Maybe one day I will get my joins as good as his. Cheers Grant

Wow, impressive detail work. Nicely done.

Jan
Good morning Jan. Thank you for your encouragement and checking out my project.

Thank you Brad. It is what I'm trying to achieve however it is a bit of a hit and miss. There are plenty of redo's as what I think will look good doesn't always turn out that way. At least I have plenty of wood as the kit planks the whole deck:D. I do need to stop and do some finishing i.e. scraping and polishing the wood. Cheers Grant
