This is also my first time using this kind of paving method, and the results turned out pretty good." :)
I have one question that has me curious. Very trivial, however I notice your lower hatches are hinged.
My understanding, most had rings to pull completely out although when you get to gun decks you can barely see them.
Any thoughts?

This is a hatch, and it is supposed to have a pull ring installed, but currently I don't have the right tools to make the pull ring here! It will definitely be installed later!"

Hi Arban. To me, even the first try looked pretty decent! Just a minor thing: have you considered to taper the planks in order to land in a lesser slice-like upmost strike? Regards!

I agree with you, doing those internal walls are just very tricky. I see that you are using precise plan for that. This makes a lot of sense... but still far more difficult to execute than it seen. Not trivial at all. Wonderful work.

NOW the big question: how do you keep the build so clean? I struggle with that. I even wear gloves to avoid leaving oils to the wood. You don't!!! what the secret?

I really don't know how to answer this question, hehe! My hands don't sweat, they are always dry. Also, before gluing, I clean the parts thoroughly. I use 180-grit sandpaper for sanding and cleaning. When gluing them onto the hull, I try to touch as little area as possible, and deal with any excess glue immediately. After the glue is set, I sand the touched areas with sandpaper to clean them.

Amazing work as always !
How do you get the interior shape of the hull?
This is the process of making my template!
Copy the drawing onto card stock. The card stock I used has a thickness of 0.17mm.

After cutting out the drawing with a craft knife, place it on the hull for comparison. At this point, be very precise, and at the same time mark it with a pen.

After trimming the template, place it on the hull for comparison.
4_副本.jpg
Place the left and right templates on the hull to obtain the width of the gap in the middle.5_副本.jpg
Organize all the data and paste them together with the templates onto the cardboard.

Remove the template and place it on the hull for comparison. If there are any mismatches, make adjustments accordingly."8_副本.jpg

These are just some small methods from me, offered as a modest spur to generate discussion. If you have different good methods, feel free to continue the conversation!
