HMS Royal William 1719 1:55 by OlegM

I agree by 100% with the friends before - wonderfull planked - very good appearance

Hi Oleg

I know a lot of RW models, but your Model is a work of art.
Your studies of the original plans and models and the work before your start to build it,
RW stern.pngshow me you are more than a talent models builder.
If you need a drawing of the stern for the decoration you can use my drawing of the RW stern.
I took it from my website, www.schifferlbauer.com, were I wrote some words about the different
RW models in the NMM

Friendly regards
Willi (schifferlbauer)

Wow, that's nice to have people on forum who do such kind of work!

Thank you, I already have this picture, I found your work while I was researching about the ship. Do by any chance you have a similar for nose figure? :)

After the external planking was finished, it was time to remove all temporary plywood and work on the inner surface. Took me several weeks of hard work, but I finally finished. I installed the knee of head, gundeck foundation and started some minor works on the lower counter and beakhead bulkhead.

Your hull is looking very good
Your photo are showing a metamorphosis into a butterfly
I am looking forward what you will do with the "empty space" inside the hull

Well maybe many will be disappointed, but I have no intention on detailing the two lower decks or any closed areas on upper decks. I guess it's already so much work on this ship, that I'm fine with omitting something and thus limiting build time to some reasonable amount. So the two lower decks will have maximum simplified deck planking as well as side planking and nothing installed except for guns.

It is not completely visible, what you changed with the hawse holes - the inner lead lining?

I also built very simplified gun carriages for gundeck and middledeck, also metal clamps missing for now
Did a first quick attempt to mill the guns. The result is bad, so will use only as a template to position the carriages on the decks. Will mill better guns later to be used in mold preparation
