Any chance I can talk you into trying to wrap some thread/rope around that mouse? Technically is should be woven but perhaps that is a bridge too far - but integrating it more into the stay itself might be a worthwhile thing. Or maybe not

I will make more of an effort on my next build as I have bought the aftermarket rope and blocks
