Don't worry at all... this is just the start of your sanding process HAHAHA. When you have the hull frames assemble, you will have to continue sanding... A LOT !!! . I bought a mouse sander, to sand the hull interior and exterior. By hand,it's was a never ending story for me.I worry about sanding too much. I hope they all fit in the end.

Daniel, you showed Don Farr some of the tools you used to clean up your decorations. How did you use your Dremel? Did you have a special bit? Also, your decorations are very clean.Vic, here are the tools I used to sand the hull interior and exterior.
1682 HMY FUBBS - 1:24 - Stern Section [COMPLETED BUILD]
Is stacking alignment based on straight keel as I see the inside stack has gaps between frames and the 90 frame used.shipsofscale.com
Bryian, did you ever do a build log of your Fubbs stern section?Yes, thats correct. He referred to his lady as Fubbs. I must get my kit out of mothballs one-day and continue my build.
I was one of the fortunate few that received this kit.
Bryian, did you ever do a build log of your Fubbs stern section?
Vic, I tried to find these bits online again and I couldn't. Could be a smarter modeler recognize them so I will post a few images. They are very small 1,5+ " full size (see image with ruler).Daniel, you showed Don Farr some of the tools you used to clean up your decorations. How did you use your Dremel? I’m simultaneously working on a waterline WW 2 cargo ship. I hope I don’t get them mixed up.No dude, I'm into WW1 battleships at the moment. I will get back to Fubbs when I'm inspired to do so.
Do they use a collett?Vic, I tried to find these bits online again and I couldn't. Could be a smarter modeler recognize them so I will post a few images. They are very small 1,5+ " full size (see image with ruler).

Yes, you can use with colletts.Do they use a collett?
I have one of those! I also have a couple of those burr removers. Boy, you'd have to be awfully careful with them, though. It looks like I could chew up good stuff as well.Yes, you can use with colletts.
I use them with my dremel stylo and a dremel keyless chuck.
I have all my dremel tools with a keyless chuck
Vic, I keep the stylo dremel among my fingers in a way that I manage the speed chuck, by slowing it or stopping it, if necessary.I have one of those! I also have a couple of those burr removers. I think I’m going to have to quit my part-time job. I may also have to get a prescription for Valium. And my stack of frames looks like a jenga game gone mad!Vic, I keep the stylo dremel among my fingers in a way that I manage the speed chuck, by slowing it or stopping it, if necessary.
I have the stylo in the lowest speed and with 1 finger control it during the carving/clening. You can reduce the speed or stop it for a few seconds with your finger(s). In that way you have 100% control of the tool.
Cheers !!!
Daniel
PS: I also do it under my magnifying lighted glass
HAHAHA HAHAHA HAHAHA HAHAHAI think I’m going to have to quit my part-time job. I may also have to get a prescription for Valium. And my stack of frames looks like a jenga game gone mad!
Dave, I looked at your Fubbs here and on MSW. Have you done any more work on her?I’ll be watching with great interest!
