INDY CAR: Colton Herta

No. They are decals. This model is what I consider advanced. The maker made the fitments just very slightly oversized so just a little scraping of parts might be necessary, but in reality, any plastic model is going to need a little adjustments to parts to clean them up. I would say that this company’s models have almost zero flashing that needs removing.
f.e. a part has a pin and the other part has a recess or hole. The recess of hole might need to be widened or hole made just thousands larger so part will fit snug. This is better balance than having parts that are too loose.
If you are interested I can assist you when I can if you decide to build one. You might want to start with the NASCAR first instead of the INDY.
To add, it is 100% necessary to buy two products called Micro-set and Micro-solve. Most of the decals are large and cover a large surface area requiring the decal to settle onto a lot of curves and 3D parts. The two chemicals will greatly soften the decals so they will flow into various raised and depressed surfaces. Using regular water only removes the decals from sheet. You must use Micro-solve and tapping and molding with a dry brush. Sometimes for larger decals has taken up to about 15 minutes of manipulation of decal to form over irregular surfaces.
