The HMS Terror had iron cladding added to her bow before the Artic Expedition in 1845, how is the best way to show this cladding? I've seen a lot of copper that can be bought but not anything representing iron cladding?

I would suggest you try your hand at scratch building the iron cladding with Evergreen styrene plastic card.
aluminum plates may do. Then you could weather with washes and weathering to look like iron.
I used for the cladding inside the powder room sheets of lead - take a look and please check also the discussions afterwards, where friends suggested alternatives to the lead
f.e. I bought some of this foil, which @Jweb mentione - I am pretty sure, that it will work also and amybe better than lead (have to try on my next model)

Instead of actual lead, have you tried the thicker aluminium foil called "cinefoil"? It is used in the film industry, is very easy to mold around objects, and is widely available. It is the same thickness as the foil that used to come around wine bottle corks and that Fröhlich recommends. For...

Cinefoil: aluminum foil, but matt black, and much thicker than the kitchen version.
It can be shaped in any form, but is thin enough to give it texture for 'rivets' etc.
We use it in our photo studio to 'shape' light.
Not cheap, but it has many other uses besides modelling, and a roll will last a lifetime;-)

Thank you for all the suggestions, what I finally went with was a sheet of .04" silicone rubber, this molded nicely to the contours of the hull and puncturing it with a pointed piece of metal left marks that resembles rivets.
