La Belle Poule 1780 by Thomas

OOOPS! late again. Many belated happy returns for your special day. Wishing you all the very best. Thumbs-Up

My dear friends

Thank you very much for the birthday wishes!
I have taken a long break from ship modeling - it's not because of the ship itself - there were so many other things to do and I need to get back into wood modeling first.

Best regards
Thomas
auch von meiner Seite nachträglich Alles Gute zum Geburtstag

Hi Thomas, I am very late to the qeue, came to it looking at her on the Drydock page. I am contemplating to build her, not decided yet (looking at an Admirality Model too)… Beautiful work you do, congratulations! Greetings from Eastern Switzerland!

Thank y'all very much for the birthday wishes!

Yes, I didn't do much work on my ship, but I still made a little progress.

The keel was completed according to the construction drawings.

And the gun port band was mounted on both sides. My wish for continuous wooden stripes under the ports was realized. There were no narrow wooden pieces under the ports. For this project, I used European pear wood - it's slightly stronger than the kit wood and has no knotholes or burn marks from laser cutting.

Best regards
Thomas
