I don't know if I should start a new thread or continue here.
The copper plates in this kit are at least 15 years old and probably older.
Right now they are fairly shiny leading me to believe they have some sort of finish.
What should I do to maintain the current level of luster. (Asked for by my wife)

Some people like shinny things I am one of them, I don't like copper that turns green . I sprayed two coats of 2x clear coat simi gloss on My two years ago Pegasus, still shinny

Port side done here's my little pile of scraps so far.
Now I'll count and see if I have enough to complete the Starboard side

I'm 175 pieces short on the copper plates including the bottom of the keel and rudder with no spares.

They are 5.65 x 18.5mm (.223" x .730").

Manufacturer us Caldercraft or Jokita.

If someone has some of these I'm in the market.

I found nearly matching copper plates at Drydock Models.
They almost always have what I need at a fair price and ship promptly.
