Actually I fited the Bowsprit to ensure the fit was good and tight - then I removed it and put it asside for further permanent fitting at a later date(rigging stage).I gor caught with my Halcon build and damaged the Bowstrip twice
YOU ARE BOTH RIGHT

Looks good. Starting to look mean with it's armament!
You will be finished before i start ROTF ! I am doing so many other projects, but i might do the first planking before the summers end, maybe!

I have installed the ships wheel and it actually works with the ropes connected to the rudder, However I soon realized a problem. The ropes pass through the inside frame of the boat and eventually were & Tear will cause the ropes to break. They cannot be fixed !!!!!

The Hussard may be different but the barrel seems to be hanging in the air on the forward end. Do the instructions show the forward support legs?
Thanks

I suppose you mean the rope barrel in front of the ships wheel, I now realize that I should have moved the barrel behind the front wheel support but the kit actually made no provision for the connection of the ships wheel to the rudder and what you see was my modification. I agree the barrel should be behind the wheel suports. (I think it is too late to change)
