I have more progress to show, after finally finishing the port side on deck canon port
standards, it was time to lay in the "L" shaped canon deck dropdown piece which separates the lower deck from the canon deck. Achieving good symmetry here is critical for appearance's sake. First pic is a closeup of this piece.

I used a set of dividers from my grandfather's old Dietzgen drafting set and marked off mirror offset distances about every 5 cm down the centerline deck strip to the port side.

Even in this modern age of computer aided design, this old set still comes in handy.
Here are a couple more overall shots, you can see where I started with the canon deck support beams which toe into the "L" shaped piece. Soon I should be finished with this and be able to start on other areas such as hull planking and other internal furnishings.
