Le Soleil Royal stern model by Janos [COMPLETED BUILD]

Hi Janos, great work again.
I have been visiting the maritime museum in Rochefort last Tuesday and there they have a fantastic contemporary large model of a ship of the same era. Maybe some extra inspiration.

This model was build in the 17th century by shipwrights at the royal yard in Rochefort

An update about the current state of LSR. I am cautiously progressing from the bottom upwards, there are 3 more decks to go. I do the inside-outside planking concurrently, as the clamping of the planks is the easiest this way. Lots of problems to solve. It is clear that the preliminary design did not succeed as expected, so I have to make some modifications as I go. Now I am in the process of building the hull as well as creating the carvings at the same time. The latter is definitely the part which I love more.
Currently, the two side galleys, as well as the carvings in the middle of the tafferel, are attached only temporarily (for the sake of the photos), their position will slightly change a bit later.

Wow - great work and process - your carving work is really very good Ivan will be proud of his student.
I am surprised about the location of the one ladder hatch, which not in the center line but shifted to one side directly behind the gun -> they had to be very careful during action

Thanks, Uwe,
There are quite a few things in my LSR which are based jut on guesswork. One of these is this ladder which I thought could be moved out of the centre. I just thought it would be quite boring if everything is too symmetrical...

A few further details. The problem is, how to make them visible later... (leaving out deck planks, etc)
