She’s a beauty, but it’s almost a shame to cover all of that detail up with the body. On my Porsche 917, I have decided to take the rear upper body off like when they work on the engine. I just hate covering up all that hard work. ;)

Your are right, Dean. That’s also with the Pocher Duc’s. But I can show the MB this way:

(With or without the ‘streetlegal’ Ebenspacher exhaust silencer …..)

Even the car jack and a hammer were not forgotten on the bottom of the trunk lid:

Installing the bottom plates:

This is where Lemke-LeGrand does make a mistake. To secure these plates, all bolts with a countersunk head are used. So with a foamed underside. Consequently, those bolts stick out if the holes are not countersunk:

So I just did that myself.

Finally, it is time to make the Ebenspächer muffler:

Here is one photo with the muffler installed separately. It was necessary to get it onto the public road, but then put a roof box on it too........:(
You won't see it again on the studio photos coming soon.:)

Group 6 is finished, 31 parts with 51 bolts.
That brings the total to 1003 parts and 587 bolts.

And the view on the impressive engine:

Thanks for watching this build-log. For me it was e great fun to build this impressive model. Highly detailed and valued for (a lot of) money.
