I saw a finished photo of a Bluenose model with a hit n miss engine linked up with the supplied anchor raising winch. Looked very cool. Having rebuilt a couple of these engines, I have a soft spot. Any idea where to purchase a 1/64th scale hit n miss?
Thanks

Hi. If I understand you correctly, do you mean a model of the stationary internal combustion engine?
In this thread -> Windlass Motor <- you can see that Dean @Dean62 one of the builders in the Group Build of the YQ-BN, designed a 3D model. Perhaps he is willing to send you his file. Then you can print that in you wanted 1:64 scale.

Thanks for replying. I'm sure that would work well, but I'm not 3D capable.

I'm pretty sure a SoS member with printing capabilities in the US is reading this thread and offer assistance.:) Let’s wait for ‘some time / days’ ……..
Another option is to make a help post in this -> CAD - 3D Printing<- area or try to make contact with one of them in 3D related threads.

Take a look at the latest posts in this thread. Perhaps they (@smonsma) are willing to help?

Thanks for the help. The 3D did a super job. On a side note, I read in a couple of places that the BN engine was a 10 HP. A few years ago I was deeply involved in hit n miss engines having tore down and rebuilt a couple of them (1 1/2 hp). A 10 hp from that time was about the size of a pickup truck and maybe the same weight.
