The shields. As mentioned earlier, there is a lot of variation in shape and width.
Some of the shields on the starboard side were still in place during the salvage. Those shields are therefore being installed first. The rest will be free-style.
Above one of the semi-circular gunports, there was even an opening.
The small holes were most likely for tying the shields to the top rail with rope. Here and there, holes still need to be drilled at the top to secure the anti-boarding net with ropes.
To work somewhat more easily and quickly, the slots are being milled out.

The shields on the starboard side are ready. And about 10 of them are as original as possible. The rest is improvisation.
If you look closely, there are openings here and there; one of them is original.
There is also one with a semicircular opening at the bottom. That is how one was found. Original location??
A large part was fixed. A few are removable. The holes at the top serve to tie the shields to the rail later.

And this is what Mary looks like currently. In this configuration, I presumably have 2 bronze and 2 forged cannons too many, according to Anthony Anthony's description.
She will probably be displayed like in this configuration for the Amsterdam Expo.

A notch needs to be made in the gunwale.
I had hoped to be able to hide this behind an open port.
But this is not possible due to the unusual structure of the hinge point in the wale.
Each port consists of 4 planks.

Beware
Copy -paste from one forum to another....
After the MSW crash, I had the brilliant idea of posting my build logs on multiple forums.
That way, if one crashed, I could just copy and paste the posts from one forum to another... or so I thought.
So, I copied posts from my build logs to various other forums—quick and easy... so i tought...
That turned out not to be the case; while the text remainsin the posts, the photos eventually disappear from the forum where you copied them.
So, I spent my spare time over the past few months uploading photos from my buildlogs to multiple forums .
All the posts now have permanent photos again.
So, always take a back up of your posts yourself; it can (will) save you a lot of time.
From now, there is more time to build ships.

The problem is that if you copy photos from forums that require you to log in – in other words, those behind a login wall – it simply won’t work. To retain control, the best way – and this is what I do – is to have your own gallery: https://www.dubz-modelling-world.com/gallery That way, you retain full control. I know, of course, that this isn’t possible for everyone.
I'm too clumsy to set up my own website.
But I do keep all the photos on my laptop.
After the holidays, uploading a lot of photos to various forums and doing some garden pruning. The shipyard has reopened.
The starboard canonports have been prepared.
And work on detailing the port-side ports has begun.
