I think you will find the thread is different.

I went through this with my Hobby store here and he sells anything Proxxon or Micromot

Check the numbers on the chuck listg and you will not find the MF70 listed

This one is similar to the one I have. It is a

This one will give you an idea.

Have a look for one in the USA though not Australia

Hi Geoff, those T nuts can be bought from Bunnings, my local stores (two of them) only have four sizes in stock though, six mm is what I use.

Eric

Hi Eric

My local Bunnings and a few others that I have passed do not stock them.

My workbench has them all through it. It makes light work of attaching a machine.

Cheers

Hi Geoff,
I sent an E-mail to Proxxon and this is their reply.

Hello,

The 115 Volt version and the 230 Volts version are mechanically identical.

The difference is in the electrical system, motor, circuit board, and power cord.

The keyless chuck # 28941 will fit either model.

I hope this answers your question.

Kind regards.

Dear Sirs,
I have just purchased a MF70 and I love it.
I am a wood ship modeler. My friend, also a modeler has the exact same mill purchased in Australia. My Question is: Is the threads on the A mill from The US the same as one from Australia?

He tells me MICROMOT THREE JAW KEYLESS CHUCK is not even sold in Australia
.
I hope this helps

Have a read of these 2 links
http://www.proxxonworld.com.au/product/micromot_keyless_chuck
http://www.proxxonworld.com.au/product/relativity_32mm_chuck_for_proxxon_collet_tools

Proxxon worls isa privately owned Proxxon dealer.

I go through Hobby Tools Australia when I buy proxxon as they undercut Proxxon World in most cases
This sounds a bit confusing.

Cheers
Geoff

Hi Geoff,
I've looked at both links you sent and now I'm confused.I will try calling them today and see how I fare. I will let you know what I find. :-?

I just looked at Hobby tools Australia and they have the Chuck. They only buy off Proxxon World. Get it from Sydney to Melbourne overnight and off in the mail or courier. He will have small tools that sell but things like Lathes etc he gets shipped in. He told me that he has 2 to 3 deliveries a week. He just makes money basically on commission and that is how he can under cut Proxxon World.

So they do sell the 28941 in Australia, becaust it fits other tools, metal Lathes, grinders etc.

https://www.hobbytools.com.au/proxxon-micromot-keyless-chuck/

Also you might not find the other Chuck listed anywhere except Australia. The owners of Proxxon World are engineer and I believe do a lot of research. It might not be a genuine Proxxon part

Cheers

Mike

I think I know the answer to the Chuck.

http://www.proxxonworld.com.au/content/new_2015_2016_products_in_stock_at_proxxon_world

It says

New Relativity 3-jaw chucks 44001 for collet-type drill/grinders and Flexishafts suits 28440 - 28500 - 28510 - 28481 - 28485 - 28620
MICRO-miller MF 70/CNC-ready 27112 - MICRO compound table KT 70/CNC-ready 27114

Looks like it is not a genuine Proxxon Part but a Relativity Pty Ltd part

Ahoy Ship Mates,
My Proxxon MICROMOT Three Jaw Keyless chuck arrived today. I opened the box put it on my Mill And it works like a champ.

The only difference in this chuck and the original equipment is this chuck doesn't need collets. ( or a key R..R..R...earth humor) :music-rockout: :handgestures-salute:s-l1600.jpg
