Model of classic RuneScape king black dragon - piñata

Got one side almost completely done

Started on the stomach but my glue ran out and the heads started to fall off

Still need to finish the tail too which is starting to get crumpled

I used spray adhesive and got banished to the bathroom. It was laying on the unfinished leg side and flattened that at bit haha...

Still need to reattach heads and cry inside that the stomach pattern got off center I mean figure out the wings
 
The party is in a week and a half...
- wrap front leg
- wrap back leg
- reinforce body side ankles to prevent inside collapse
- paint said reinforcements black
- wrap tail with stomach pattern
- finish wrapping tail with black
- wrap claws with white
- finish the one head - paint the eyes, add the red nose accents, add the teeth, add the jaw spike
- make wings
- attach wings
- wrap necks with stomach pattern
- wrap necks with black
- add white elbow claws
- find a way to better reattach heads
- find a way to put the candy inside and it not fall out. Coworker suggested a flap but the hard part will be getting into the belly of the beast to attach it.
 
I love the way the squares of crepe paper looks like scales !
That's a long list of things you still need to get done !
You have a nice checklist so you can focus on the work and not have to think about "What's next".
I'll keep this short so you don't have to spend a lot of time reading ! It could make the difference. :)

Perhaps you could leave a hole just below the tail that the candy can be shoved into….

There are already two holes on either side of the tail haha ROTF shoving in is easy but right now if I stand him up he has accidents >.>

Me too! My fiance got me a big box to do the wings. The adult kids are going to be excited, especially with the fireball shots the dragon is shooting at them before they can attack haha ;)ROTF

Oh should I get wire? I was planning on adding some extra cardboard to help reinforce the bone structure then add the stuffing and wrap techniques to give it shape.

I would probably use wire: perhaps old clothes hangers. They can be attached with tape and bent to any shape you like to make it more three-dimensional.

And you don’t have to worry about little kids poking their eyes out—just hammered grown-ups. ROTF
 
Haha so true. We will see what I have time for. I don't trust myself to cut wire or wood.

Another two sets of white claws done and the neck on this side

Hoping to buy some more black today on my way home from work. Connor wants me to stuff the neck with a PVC pipe so we can hang it from that. I don't know that the joints are strong enough for that though.
