I got a tip from Ab Hoving that he used a Voile Cotton for his model of a Ducth warship in scale 1:77, this is giving a perfect look, see his beautiful model below.
The cloth Voile Cotton I purchased is a natural 100% bio cotton in a color off white. Voile is a very slightly transparent cotton which is very light and supple.
I will be using this for a sail making test which I will post here.
