Also I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I am on vacation the rest of the year, and hope to find time to continue my aircraft builds, however I have family time and chores that will be competing with my hobby time!
As you know, hobby time always loses. But it will always be waiting for me and you! So the best to you all and I hope your hobby time will continue to reward you when you have time for it!
Finally, I wanted to highlight a few of my favorite builds this year…
First was a P-39Q Airacobra, an excellent kit by Arma Hobby with amazing detail at 1/72 scale!

Next a Fokker D.VII by Eduard that I decided to use a unique scheme on. It’s an Eduard kit, so we know it has PE parts and excellent decals, etc.

And finally my recent build of a F-86D Sabre Dog by Hasegawa, which had very nice detail, as to be expected from a top manufacturer. I covered this one with Bare-Metal aluminum for a more realistic look. What’s more real than actual metal?

Well that’s my top 3 picks for builds this year!
Hopefully 2026 brings many more rewarding builds. Who knows, I may finish the F9F this year?
See ya next time…
