Ki-44II Shoki update…
It’s definitely a tiny aircraft…basically the size of a WW1 aircraft.

I put the base coat of silver on, then finished painting the landing gear bays and the tail gear.

Up top I painted the black anti glare strip, the exhaust and did a little weathering on the cowling area to get an idea of what it is going to look like. Then the tail was painted red.

The motor isn’t as detailed as I would like, but once the prop goes on you won’t see much of it anyway.
Next I have to paint white bands on the wings and fuselage where the red circles go. Then I have to paint the rest of the black on top of the fuselage that overlaps the white some.
Then finally I have to paint the leading edge of the wings yellow, and also the guns.
After that it will be time for decals. My favorite part of the build because that’s when you see the final look, minus weathering.
See ya next time…
