My 1/72 scale aircraft

The F104 has an interesting shape, like a human guided missile. There's not much wing area for lift so it must be mostly thrust that keeps it airborne.

Next I will add the wheels…

Then I will add the tail wings and the main wing. Decals can start after that!

See ya next time…
Looking great ! Silver is another color that can be difficult to paint. :)

Yes, sometimes referred to as the “manned missile”, it has a high stall speed and thus a fast landing speed and typically used a drag chute when landing.
It set a lot of records for speed and altitude when it came out.

The F-104 was one of many nicknamed "The Widow Maker" for high crash and accident rate, due to lack of glide ratio when engine failed, or stalls due to poor aimanship.

Thanks Jeff! Yes silver can be streaky, like white and yellow, if not kept mixed and diluted properly. I brush on very thinned and use several coats. And of course I keep my hair dryer close by to dry between coats. That helps. ;)
