My new toys/tools

A bench mounted disc sander is the simplest of tools. I own two, a small high speed Jarmac and a slower speed home made one with a 12” disc. The only proprietary parts for this homemade tool are a motor and a metal flange. Other parts are easily knocked up from plywood. I never throw out an old motor! While both the Ultimation and Byrnes sanders appear to be well made tools I see no need to spend the kind of money that they cost.
