Well, again freinds, I am seeing myself apologizing again for my absence, but I am STILL around. Just the fact that due to so many family things going on, and also work draining me, there is not much left of me to go around.
There are Soooo many post that I need to get caught up on. I have not forgotten you all. In a while, I hope that I will be back in the swing of things again.
Thanks to all that keep this site ongoing and relative. We are still activating new members on a steady basis, so that is good news. That is good because more people are finding the joy and pleasure of building these fine ships.
I get a lot of personal email of people still struggling with poorly written instructions and I feel their frustration as we all have gone through the same thing. I know, it is a shame that the manufacturing community cannot invest just a little more time into providing a kit that is well worthy and takes alot of the frustration out of building these.
Some ships are difficult enough without having to guess. So, to the experienced, I know that you are poised to say stick with the simpler ships. But, I have done both. Actually a recent ship that I bought (a small ship) and relatively easy instructions (for the new comer or beginner) actually turned out to be MORE frustrating than an expert model. So, I can testify both ends of the spectrum on beginner to expert (model ships that is) - I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination. I am just saying that "sometimes" the larger ships can be easier to build.
