New kit from Occre 09/21/2025

After their latest tidbit description for Occre's new release, I believe that the new model will be the Vasa....

"An extraordinary display of baroque reliefs, oak carvings, emblems, figures, and gilded motifs that faithfully evoke the splendor of the 17th century."

By arsenal they probably meant for the france fleet , and that means Le Soliel Royal....
and this mail just came in.

IMHO this is the Soleil Royal

Occre used to produce the Soleil Partwork for Deagostini

From the bow picture it looks like they are using the castings they used on the part work.

Can’t help think they chose 669 rather than 1669 kits as Victory did not sell like hotcakes as they anticipated.Recycling old castings patterns would keep costs down for the smaller production run

This is why the kit is under 2 years of development.I wonder when they will come to their senses and start developing new ways of production to replace the metal casting parts and come forward to the 21th century...

Ahoy folks,

I think it will be a ship from the year 1669. That's my hunch. Maybe the

- La Couronne (1630)
- Coat of arms of Hamburg
- Le Soleil Royal

or .....much more.. ;)
However, if you look at the golden lilies on the flag, it's the Le Soleil Royal!

That would be nice too, something completely different. I hate it when the metal parts look so clunky and imprecise. I'm curious about the price.

I'll know more in 10 hours ...

Probably like their HMS VICTORY.
Around 1400€ and overpriced for Admiralty wannabe model

Ahoy Sevish, :D

if it's that expensive, then I'm definitely not going to get it. I'd rather have the figures 3D printed in top quality. I would also buy better wood. Provided the model is worth building.

Best regards

Bonjour, à votre avis quelle sera l'échelle de ce nouveau navire 1/48, 1/72. autres..
I have no idea, but if it is 1:48 it would be huge!!! Most first rates and similar size ships seem to be modeled at 1:72 or smaller. We shall soon see. :)
Allan

Yes, I think it will be the scale between 1/72, 1/75 and 1/84. Anything else, I agree with AlanKP69, will not work as it will be far too big.... We are all excited!!!

I watched the video about it. From the looks of it, it's really beautiful. The guns are well turned and the ornamentation and mouldings are also very nicely done. I think they realised here that improvements need to be made with the HMS Victory to get this type of ship out to the people.

I think the price is extremely high and then I have to shake my head again. Who is going to pay for this?

For 1,800 euros I can get really great things and build a ship that is perfect for me!!!
