Thanks, all for the warm welcome! :text-thankyouyellow: I will try and start a build log this evening on my current effort (first model of any type since I was about 14 or 15, and first wooden ship build ever).

Like I told Larry, you want to start building a library of reference material. I listed some of the starter books on his introduction. Wooden ships are such a pleasure to behold and it is a great hobby and we have plenty of mentors that have shared their research and knowledge in books.
