I finally took the plunge and bought an oscillating spindle sander. Local hardware store had a big tool sale so I got this Triton. Its basically the same sander as the Wen. Sander comes with 5 sanding drums and 6 sleeves. The smallest sleeve fits on the spindle. Its well made and fairly quiet when running. The dust collecting port is an odd size but works well with shop vac. The ring around the sanding drum fits pretty flush with the table where the Wen had a noticeable gap with the table. A quick run on a Blandford frame and it worked very well. I think this machine will handle my needs. Time to work on the Blandford for awhile.

Hi Denis, no this one doesn't tilt. I looked at the model that had the tilting table. The insert rings that go around the drum had slots in them that I thought were to big for some of the small parts I would be sanding. This machine has holes in the rings.

I have the Jet spindle sander which allows to tilt the table up to 45degrees ..... this was at the time of purchasing one of the reasons to choose this one.

But I have to say, that for sanding the frames it is not really necessary.
In the meantime I am more of the opinion, that variable diameters of the spindles and the total length of the spindles are more important - and the noise.

Mike, A very good decision to buy one - you will enjoy the work with this tool
