NEXUS 720S Supercar

I am just at a stopping place. I plan to upload the lasted progress maybe this late afternoon.
I did hook up the electric motors that control rear wheels and steering to check on that which works ok. The remote control is not like a regular RC car that has joysticks to control the speed. Same with steering. All on or off. Which for what it cost, I can them only having simple controls.
I am right at the half way point now.
Ah, ok Donnie - thanks for such a quick response. I actually requested the A4 size Instruction Manual. It took 3 weeks and a couple of email chasers but it eventually arrived yesterday afternoon. It’s quite a bit easier to see some of the detail. Personally, I think the A4 guide should be shipped with the kit. I’ve now charged the 2 batteries and I think I’ll do what you’ve done and test the electrics.

Good news. After a bit of swapping around, I managed to get all the motors and lights working. Routing the cables will be an interesting challenge - but not quite yet

That is great - well, I wish I had that A4 size - that small one I have is not good. As a matter of fact, I did not even know I could order such a manual.

Yes,
But as of this picture, I have not completed the model yet. I am only halfway through !!!

I have not been able to work on this car for several reasons:
1) I have been out of town a lot.
2) I had back surgery
3) Now, I have a problem with my right arm and right hand. When I sit down at PC and reach for the mouse, my right hand goes numb.

Your health is the most important issue, Donnie. I wish you a quick and full recovery!

Bummer Donnie. Give it some time. Nerves take some time to recover.

At this time, I am thinking it best to bring this Car Build Log to a close. I am still going to build it as time (healing) permits. But, trying to work with PC to upload and (crop, resize) editing images using Graphic program will have to end for now. I am not sure if I will pick back up with this or not. All I know is that I am only half way through the manual and it has already taken hundreds of pictures editing them to upload has taken a toll on me. Sorry to have to report this. Who knows maybe in the time to come I might get back to continuing this log, but for now, please take it that it has come to an end. :(:(

The last one is where the R/C Motor will attach to front of frame using two connectors already preinstalled from previous steps.

Hi there Donnie,
My name is Glenn and I’m in Brisbane, Australia. I just wanted to express gratitude for your efforts as your build progress posts have saved hours of time and more importantly, a degree of sanity. I’m just about to start number 3, so still a long way to go. With a little of your help, I’m so far enjoying the challenges this build presents. I guess my greatest anxiety with this build is the wiring. I read a review from a guy who recommended routing the wiring through the internals of the chassis. Sounds logical right. Anyway he went on to say the Build Manual is severely lacking in detail around the wiring such as ideal placement/routing etc, going further to say he had to pull a lot of build apart and work it out himself. Hoping you’ve covered this element in later posts.
Anyway, Thankyou so much.

Kind regards
