Dear Johan. I know how special this build was for you and I also understand the trash-can frustration - models that you WANT to get right because of their significance to you, are also sometimes the ones that cause the most frustration and heartache. I am very happy for you that you completed the build and that you are happy with it. I think that @Dean62 Dean summed it up well - by all means go for the realism and intricate details, but up to the point where it is no longer feasible. The trick is to know where to draw that fine line. Personally, I think it looks superb and urge you to be very proud of it.
