Not well

Be glad you don't have worms, then made to drink Kerosene. Yes, you get violently sick but it does kill the worms. If you feel like you're going to throw up, try this sailors remedy. Tie a string to a hunk of salt pork, then swallow the pork holding on to the string. Stop the chunk of pork from going all the way into your stomach. Now the chunk of pork will stop you from throwing up.... because you can't throw up. That's what crews had to do in the age of sail. Have a nice day.
Presumably that tip is from the 'If it doesn't kill you, it'll make you stronger' school of thought,
An old proverb.....'Don't believe everything you read in books'.

Hoy mates, this is the book, 'Following the Sea' by, Benjamin Doane. Firsthand accounts of what happen on a Whaler in the mid 1800's. Worms and sea sickness remedies. Enjoy.

Hoping by today, you're feeling better! Last Sept (2023) I had a sore throat too. Thought it might be strep and went to the ER. Had temp of 103° - tests performed and it turns out I had COVID. I had 6 covid boosters too. Took paxlovid and in about 2 days, it was gone. The vaccines greatly helped in getting over it.
