Hello NorwayWell- now I have read through your log again, exciting project that I would like to try myself in the future,
The problem is that I'm not good at carving.
Thanks Lawrence, I would like to build Oliver Cromwell or Rattelsnake of The Lumberyard in the same way
as you do, i want to make all the materials of by self-produced timber, but then i need the drawings.
1- Did You got all the drawings as PDF.
2- Could you choose scale / size.
3- Did the sponsor has set a given period to complete the model.
4- Did You paid for the drawings or maybe you donated some money to SOS.
I'm still in the starting phase with HMS Blandford cross section 1-32 and want to finish it first,
but I was hoping to get drawings so I could plan timber and so on.
So still just a dream.
Zoltan, It is The Lumberyard sponsorship program I'm talking about, they supply many fine complete kits with laser cut parts /drawings.
This is something I really want to try when I am finish with the HMS Blandford cross section 1-32.
i want to make all the materials of self-produced timber
But I wish it was possible to get the drawings somewhat earlier so that I can plan my next project.
I would like to pay for the drawings or donate an agreed price to SOS.
Do not want to bind me to a time-limited agreement with the sponsor before I finish HMS Blandford cross section 1-32.
After that I will start a new building log.
Still just a desire for a later project.
Hello JanosBeautiful details, Lawrence!

Hello JanosTalking about Oliver Cromwell figurehead... I just managed to send mine into the 4th dimension. As I transported the ship last time to take a few pictures it must have fallen off and despite intensive searches we could not locate it. I have a sneaking suspicion that my workshop assistant had something to do with this disappearanceas he has the habit to catch things which fall down onto the floor (socks, napkins and the like) and usually chews them a bit...
So I am in for a new figure head soon...
