wish you all a nice weekend ......
My Horex Regina 350 series "0" from year 1950 is now complete and passed already the official technical inspection TÜV
- next step is to register her as a historic vehicle

I am sooooo happy

officially she is "like new"

Not 28 km in more than 70 years - but when you restore a bike to status "1" means "like new out of the shop" you are able to start with 0km
I do know once fully restored the mileage starts again at 0km. - But I do have a weird sense of humour. Cheers Uwek

A beautiful bike, Uwe.:)

With such machines they made a serious test drive before delivery. 26 km falls under that criteria.:) So: it’s new!
Regards, Peter

Having 19 jumps in my book from the young days, I would rather have a parachute on to jump from a good airplane, then not have one when a airplane fails while flying high off the ground.

Back in the days before I got married to the Admiral, my magazine stated more sport parachute jumpers were killed in car wrecks driving to the jump site than those who did in jumping accidents. Just saying.

That is a very beautiful restored bike Uwe, you can be very proud.
Thanks - I am
She is officially classification "1" - so like new in the shop like in 1950 - maybe partly slightly better ;)

Cool thread! I have so many activities in my life that I don't even know where to start, although I don't know if I'd call these hobbies.

Surfing. Every time the Atlantic ocean gets fired up I try to go at it

Calisthenics. I've always been into bodybuilding and strength training at gyms but since 2015 I've focused solely on calisthenics.

Rock climbing. Coming from calisthenics, I had always wanted to try it. In 2020 after a breakup and when the lockup ended I went to a gym. Been climbing 4-6 days a week ever since. Mainly indoor bouldering, sometimes outdoor. I have tried free climbing but not as much, still a bit afraid of heights and don't yet have the equipment. Not many pics tho.

Music. Singer and guitarist here! 12 guitars and counting . I've recorded a couple of albums, mainly rock/hard rock. Also play bossa nova, fingerstyle and other styles, taught guitar for almost 20 years.

Mountain biking. Always been a mountain biker (mainly enduro/dh), although this year I've been off the bike because of many other activities.

I'm also into hiking and anything outdoors, that's why building ships takes a long time, it's hard for me to stay still

I used to sail on a 28ft sloop with my father who passed away a few years ago. Haven't sailed in a few years but this year I'm planning to get back to it and get my brevet.
This was our 28ft sloop:

Also I'm into free diving, and in our oceanic cost there are many shipwrecks such as the HMS Agamemnon and many many others. With a friend who also surfs whenever we have clear water we try to drive in a few wrecks. This is us diving in the Bizertin, a cargo ship sunk in 1916.

Dood. You're a man's man!

I've been a amateur photographer most of my adult life. Started out doing landscapes then milky way photography & now wildlife which is mostly bird photography. Here's a couple examples.

Male Northern Harrier nicknamed the Grey Ghost.

Back in 2020 I also dabbled in Astrophotography but with the high learning curve & being so overwhelmingly technical along with not that many cloudless nights here in Wisconsin I sold off my telescopes & related equipment.
The Andromeda galaxy. The closes galaxy to our galaxy, the Milky Way, which is approx. 2.5 million light years from earth.
The North American Nebula. Approx. 4000 light years from earth & resides within our milky way galaxy.
My telescope setup at the time without the camera attached.
