Other hobbies that are not ship model building

You are a bunch of interesting fellows. Whenever I have the chance, I go fishing! Salmon, steelhead, and sturgeon. Throw in a Walleye, lots of Dungeness crab and razor clams. Time to fire up the smoker and pressure cooker!

Merry Christmas all!

Maybe ....... but YES ...... I will go this year to my roots and ordered a complete restauration of a HOREX Regina Series 0, built in 1950

My father had one, when he was a young man, so in memoriam I wanted to drive the same bike (we say "Moped")

In late spring ..... this is the agreement with the HOREX specialist Ammon ......

Now that’s a very good idea, Uwe. Driving such a oldtimer will give you a smile from ear to ear:

Here is my pride and joy I built a few years back.Full Carbon,Full Campag Super Record, even the crank derailleurs and shifters are carbon.Worked a lot of overtime to pay for all the bits and it cost me a substantial amount of cash.I have done 60mph on this thing,it is an F1 car with pedalsROTF
Apologies it is an old pic,the bike is currently covered in orange sanding dust

Kind Regards

Nigel

wish you all a nice weekend ......

I now have a new toy to play with as my old one was becoming a bit of a money pit the body work is in nice condition but the inside trim needs a bit of work plus a few other niggles low mileage as well so should serve me for years to come.

Many Thanks to your comments @Gebirgsmarine , @Pathfinder65 , @Bluebeard @donfarr @Tobias @DARIVS ARCHITECTVS @PeterG about my little Moped

Kurt:
nice DKW moped - with 3PS slightly overmotorized ;)
My Horex has 19 PS - so compared to yours she is a real rocket with top speed of 110 km/h

BTW: the red color and also the chromed tank were also on the original bike - mine is from 1950.
My father, when he as a young man he had a similar Horex - and the girls liked to sit on the back.
I am also thinking about a sidecar for my Regina - than the top speed is going down to 90 km/h - still fast enough
