Pavel Nikitin Oseberg #3 kit #61

Question: When you glued the double biti's together on now frame one, did you sand it down to the same profile as the original version of the kit...using the supplied stencil that Pavel included? He doesn't show if the profile is the same in the plans with his upgrade kit.
Hi Steve,

That process is a little different with the upgrade. The second biti is in two pieces and sits on the mast step leaving enough room for the mast base.

My build.

Jan, she looks beautiful! I too, have been out of the shipyard for a while, but your photos are making me eager to get back. The final flurry of winter prep is taking place, so hope to be back to Oseberg the first week in Nov.

Indeed, our winter preperation is almost done, just a couple of items left. Current problem is leaf removal.
Funny, people pay big bucks and come to Maine to see the pretty leaves this time of year, but never take any home.

Good morning Jan. In Cape Town we don't get any autumn leaves - we just stay green and have few trees/ forests to appreciate the autumn beauty. I geuss the positive is we dont have to rake up a mulitude of leave. Lovely progress on your Osberg. Cheers Grant

Hi Grant,

I do like the Autumn colors, but after a week or so of leaf removal . The plus is there will be more time to work in the shipyard.
