Potential 1/48 Higgins PT kit

The PT boats seemed to be customed modified to fit specific taskings when being manufactured, as shown by the multiple variations.

I know as they became more respected by Navy Brass, they got more use and became special ops platforms.

I was surprised to hear some PTs were repurposed for use in major inland waterways and lakes in parts of the world.

A bit further along on the potential kit. The hull is planked and filled and I've adjusted the laser drawings a bit. The deck you are seeing is the subdeck. It will be covered with a 1/32" ply deck that has the positions of the primary components (deck house, engine room hatch, etc,.) lasered onto it.

Have done a bit more fiddling with the Higgins. The hull is now fully planked and the main deck fitted. I laser-printed the locations of the main pieces of deck furniture on the deck. This eliminates the need for the builder to have to measure from the plans.

Definitely interested in building one, particularly if it’s the same high quality of design and materials as Al’s other warships from BlueJacket. I’ve built the PT boat, Olympia, USS Maine, T2 Tanker, Liberty Ship and both versions of Gearing and they are all excellent.

Might I inquire as to which variant of the Higgins this excellent model will represent? I would be particularly interested in the "barge buster" conversion.
