Well, I am making way on my ship. I'm at the point to build the cannon carriages. Unfortunately, A.L. didn't include the wire for the axels so I am using the memory wire I purchased as a replacement. After cutting the lengths, I mounted each axel and filed off the ends square before mounting.

Your build looks good and I agree with Kurt about the cannons.
I like your stand. It looks as though it is universal, able to accommodate all kinds of ship hull shapes and sizes. Am I correct in this assumption?

I made it fully adjustable. It can acommodate hulls of different lengths and widths.
