Knut-

excuse me Norway, what is the significance of this wording? Thank you .FrankTNKS, @Frank48 .

Sounds like you are writing about the HMS Rattlesnake (1783), ex-Rattlesnake U.S. privateer, ex-Cormorant of 1781, refitted at Plymouth dockyard a ship sloop pictured below.renamed Courvier(sp) and placed in service in the Royal Navy.

Model Expo Beautiful Blocks are a good option, and there are many others such as those sold at Syren Shipyard and Dry-Dock Models and Parts. I have yet to see a kit that has properly shaped blocks, and kit builders should consider block replacements despite the extra expense because they do affect the appearance of the model.I built the Mamoli version. I agree, it needed much better blocks. On my current HMS VICTORY cross-section, I used "Beautiful Blocks" from Model Expo as I could get smaller (2 & 3 mm), much better looking blocks for rigging my cannons.
Your first ship is your slowest, and the one filled with fear of getting something wrong. The next one will be easier, better built, and more complex. Each model gets better, and it's easy to overlook how your own skills have increased.Thanks for the advice regarding kit blocks. I think on the next model I'll replace the kit blocks. (if I ever finish the one I'm working on now?}
